Ostrava has a more perfect parking system in six parking lots

With our CrossPark parking system technology, we equipped a newly built parking garage at the Ostrava Municipal Hospital, the underground parking lot of the University of Ostrava, two parking facilities at the Poklad cultural center and two surface parking lots in the city center – on Smetana Square and Poděbradová Street.

All parking lots are "ticketless", i.e. ticketless and cashless at the same time. Customers arrive at the parking lot either using a bank card or using a generated QR code, resident RFID cards, or a registration mark stored in the system. The parking fee is then paid at automatic cash registers or directly at the exit terminals, which, like the cash registers, are equipped with contactless payment terminals. Another option for paying the parking fee is online payment through the Parkum.cz application, by scanning the QR codes that are located in all parking lots or by entering the registration number directly in the application itself.

The exception is the parking garage at the Ostrava City Hospital, where, due to the expected clientele, the city management decided to keep the traditional issuance of parking tickets and payment in cash at automatic cash registers.

All parking lots have an online reservation system, which is also managed through the Parkum.cz application. Customers have the option of booking a short-term or long-term parking space at a selected location. All parking lots are centrally monitored and serviced from the central control room of Ostravské Komunikace a.s., which is the operator of the mentioned parking systems.
